Good afternoon San Ardo School Families, We will hold our first School Site Council (SSC) meeting next Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the library. I have attached information from the California Department of Education regarding SSC. Education Code specifies the composition of SSC, as explained in the attached document. Unfortunately, I was not able to get three teachers to volunteer to be on SSC this year. As such, we will be following the provisions for a school with fewer than 300 pupils. The composition this year will consist of 1 principal, 1 teacher (selected by the teachers), 1 school staff member (selected by the school staff members), and 3 parent/community members (selected by the parents). We will have (3) seats available on the SSC this year for parent/community members. Please contact me at the school creimer@sanardousd.org or 831-627-2520 Ext. 112, if you are interested in filling one of the seats. In the event there are more than (3) parents or community members interested in filling the seats, a vote will be sent out to parents to determine who will fill the seats via survey monkey. As a reminder, the SSC meetings are open to the public. If you are not serving on SSC, you are still welcome to attend the meetings and make public comments on items on the agenda. The regularly scheduled September 11, 2024, School Board meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in Room #4 in observance of 9/11.

Please join us for our annual Back-to-School night tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served in the auditorium promptly at 5:30 p.m. Teachers will be giving presentations in their classrooms beginning at 6:00 p.m. and again at 6:20 p.m. They will also be available to answer questions regarding expectations for the school year. Many of our community educational partners will also be present in the auditorium to answer questions and provide resources.

Good afternoon San Ardo School families! The regularly scheduled August 14, 2024, School Board meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in Room #4 due to the start of school.

Dear Parents, We would like to invite you to the upcoming School Site Council (SSC) meeting on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the library. All families are encouraged to attend and provide valuable feedback for the 2024/25 school year. Light refreshments will be served. Printed packets are available at the office for SSC Members who signed up to participate. SSC Members and participants are encouraged to read the materials in advance and come prepared with suggestions and recommendations. This will help us avoid a lengthy meeting to read through the entire Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Please note that the 2024 LCFF Budget Overview for Parents will be posted and sent separately.
